 - Venue: Ramada Plaza Jeju Hotel (Jeju Island, South Korea)


Recently our society is changing at a pace that easily outstrips our capacity to understand and manage them.
 It is not a simple linear system that we could learn from the past experiences, but surely a representative CAS(Complex Adaptive
System).
It is time to use the power of information technologies to explore individual and social behavior and solve the real social problem
holistically for our sustainable society.
The meeting of researchers from information technology and the social/economic/ organizational sciences is extensively recognized
for its role in crossfertilization,
and it has undoubtedly been an important source of inspiration for the body of knowledge that has been produced in the “social
simulation” area. The first “Asia-Pacific Social Simulation Workshop” begins with its goal to bring together researchers interested in “Social Simulation” and “Simulated Reality”, with researchers focused on finding effective solutions to model and simulate complex
social systems, in such areas as economics, management, organizational and social sciences in general.
